Purification of the body with the help of scientific induced emesis ( therapeutic vomiting).
Virechan :- Purification of the body with the help of scientific induced loose motions. Basti :- Medicated oil and herbal decoction enemas. Nasya :- Nasal drops by scientific method. Raktamokshan :- Expulsion of impure blood by using leech / syringe. Shirodhara :- Continuous pouring of oil or liquids like Takra (butter milk), herbal decoction (quath), Ikshuras (sugar cane juice) etc. on the forehead. Shiro Basti :- Keeping warm medicated oil on the head for a certain period by using special cap around the head. Placing hot Shalaka (metal stick) on a specific point for very short period for various disorders, like severe pain at any region, cyst, Piles, Epileptic attack, heavy bleeding.

Panchdhatu Shalaka (Gold, Silver, Copper, Iron, Zinc)Ksharkarma :- Application of Kshar or Ksharsutra on specific affected area e.g. piles, warts, erosions, abnormal growth, fistula. Hrud Basti :- Keeping warm medicated oil on the area of heart for certain period specially for heart diseases like – coronary artery disease, Cardio megaly, Valvular disease, Ischimic heart disease etc. Pizhichil :- Pouring and massaging of medicated oil by 3-4 persons at a time on different body parts, by specific kerala system. Netra Tarpan (Ayurvedica eyes rejuvenation) :- Keeping a medicated ghee in groove made up by flour of black gran & water around eyes for 30 min to improve the vision & to avoid eye disease. Uttar Basti :- Introducing medicated oil / herbal decoction in intrauterine cavity or up to the cervix for gynaecological problems. Kati Basti :- Keeping warm medicated oil on the lumber region for diseases of spine disc prolapsed etc. Janu Basti :- Keeping warm medicated oil on knee joint for certain period. Lepan :- Application of herbal packs mixed with water / honey / milK etc. on various body parts. Udwartan :- Scrubbing of different body parts by using various herbal powders.
